Learning to sew gives children a fun and useful talent that gives life long pleasure! Sewing is an important life skill that is both useful and gives an opportunity for creative expression. There is a lot of pride that comes with sewing a garment that is unique and special because they made it themselves!
All equipment is provided and the class size is limited to 3-4 students for individualized attention and safety. I use patterns that have been designed specifically for kids in this age group. Kids classes are for both boys and girls age 7 to 12. Youth (Tween & Teens) classes are appropriate for ages 12+
These classes are set up much like piano lessons and the students come once a week throughout the school year. (Camps will be available during school breaks, as we will not have regular classes on those days.) Classes can be joined at any time. Please note that while all the tools of the trade are provided, the student will be responsible for purchasing the fabric and notions for each project.
