Adult Classes

For all classes and workshops, Patterns & tools of the trade are provided, but fabric and notions are not included in class pricing.  Kits are available.

Sew Basics 101 – Classes for the absolute beginner.  These are designed for those adults (men & women) & older teens 16+ who have never sewn before.  Weekly classes, learn at your own pace as you work through a custom designed program.  Develop your skills and learn step-by-step building each week on what you’ve learned before. 1 hrs per class, 8 weeks  $15/week +$30 workbook.

Tuesdays 10:30AM – 11:30AM or Tuesday Evenings 7:00PM-8:00PM

Level up – Ready to tackle more difficult projects?  Learn to sew components of apparel and tailoring.  Zippers, darts, cuffs, collars, pleats, gathers and more. 1hr 20min classes, 8 weeks. $20/week +$30 workbook

Tuesday Evenings 8:00 – 9:20

Private Lessons – Lessons tailored to what you want to learn.  Make a project or learn new skills with one-on-one attention.  Available during any Open Studio hours.  $20/hour

Sewcial Nights – No lessons, just open studio time to be creative, hang out, have snacks & beverages and inspire each other.  Once a month – probably on a Friday night.  Advance registration required. $15

Beginner Level Workshops – 3 hours ($45)
Basic Sewing skills – or Sew Basisc 101 required
Beginner level workshops are designed for those with very little sewing experience. These are simple projects that you can finish in an evening.  Useful to practice your skills and learn new things to make for the home or gifts.  Tote bags, aprons, winter wear (mitts, scarf, toque), pillows, and many more

Intermediate level Workshops – 3-5 hours ($45-$75)
Students should have confident beginner skils or have taken (or be taking) the sew basics Level Up course. Projects may include Easy knits, Easy Quilting basics, T-shirt & pattern hacking, 1 to 10 Tank top design, lingerie

Advanced Workshops – 10+ hours ($225+)
Students should have experience sewing zippers, buttonholes, using interfacing.  Advanced sewing projects are more complex.  These often require creating a fitting muslin before sewing the project in our final fabrics.  Projects may include: Tailored shirts / blouses, cocktail / special occasion dresses, formal wear, trousers/pants, lingerie

All equipment and “tools of the trade” are provided for classes.  Fabric and notions are not included but are available from the storefront or by special order.  You may chose to bring in your own.
